When it comes to serving up a refreshing tequila cocktail when you’re thirsty, Paloma Cocktails is definitely at the top of the list. This drink is one of the favorites in Mexico. Which consists of a soft drink, fruit with a big fizz, and one of the smoothest tequila drinks you can mix in. Paloma is more flavorful than its closest relative, the Greyhound which consists of grapefruit juice and a mixture of gin or vodka and served over ice.

Two important elements in the Paloma recipe are Tequila and Grapefruit. Traditionally, Paloma is made from a mixture of tequila, grapefruit-flavored soda. But the most popular recipe is the Paloma which is made from a mixture of tequila, lime juice, and grapefruit-flavored soda or grapefruit soda which is widely used like Fresca, Squirt, or Jarritos and served on a stone with a lime wedge. Adding salt to the rim of the glass is also an option. In addition, for sweetening, usually use agave nectar or simple syrup. But you can also replace it with agave tequila or more familiarly called Blanco.

A more complex variant of Paloma is Cantarito which also adds lemon juice and orange juice. As an alternative, orange soda is usually with fresh white or red grapefruit juice called Jugo de Toronja, club soda, and fresh lime juice.
