What Is Lemon Zest?

Zest is the outer part or layer of the skin whether it’s lime or lime. Zest is usually green and contains a fragrant and aromatic citrus oil. However, lime zest can have a stronger aroma and flavor, so it is often used as a mixture in cocktails, desserts, and a number of other recipes.

How to Get Zest?

Zest is usually obtained by shredding it. The easiest tools to use for making smooth zest for cooking are a Microplane type grate with a fine, sharp hole, while long shavings for garnishes or cocktails can be made with a traditional zest (zester) grater. You can also use a sharp vegetable peeler. But make sure that when you grate it, it is not too thick so that the taste of the food mixed with zest is not bitter.

Well, one dish that also uses zest from lemon zest is Blueberry Orange Bread. You can try this recipe yourself at home.
