Not only that, but this dish is also very fast, easy to make and the results are very addicting. Feel free to mix it with whatever veggies you have in the fridge, or add whatever protein you like.

Noodle dishes have been processed centuries ago in China. Where it is recorded that it has been processed since 4,000 years ago. No wonder that in China there are many dishes and varieties of processed noodles which are now famous as one of the special foods. This legendary culinary is also present as a special dish in several countries. The noodle menu is served with various techniques and complements.

One of the noodle dishes that you can try is the Asian Garlic Noodle. Not much different from spaghetti Aglio olio which uses garlic, oil, salt, and dried chili flakes as a marinade. The Asian Garlic Noodle dish is also not much different. But for this dish, you add a sauce made from a mixture of oyster sauce, mirin, soy sauce, sesame oil, dark soy sauce, and fish sauce. In addition, to add to the taste, Szechuan Chili Oil is also added.

Maybe some of you are unfamiliar with the sauce, some are also familiar. Moreover, those who like to eat at Chinese restaurants. This sauce is usually used as a chili sauce to accompany food such as dim sum. Szechuan Chili Oil is already sold in several Asian supermarkets. But if you want to make it yourself, here is the recipe.

Ingredients And How To Make Szechuan Chili Oil:

The ingredients that need to be prepared are 80 grams of good quality chili flakes and 1/2 teaspoon of salt. For the oil itself, you can use peanut oil or grapeseed oil. This type of oil does not change its aroma when mixed with other ingredients. The spices used are 2 deaf, 1 tablespoon Sichuan pepper or black pepper, and cinnamon sticks, but you can leave the seasonings behind.

To make it, you can put the spices in the pan then pour 250 ml of peanut oil. Cook over low heat until hot and boiling and the spices are fragrant and browned. Turn off the heat and wait for it to warm slightly. Place the chili flakes in a bowl. Filter the oil directly in this container then stir until well blended with the chili flakes. Once cool, transfer to a bowl or bottle. You can use it after a few days of resting it in the bottle to make it taste spicier.

Ingredients

  • 3 packs (9.5 oz each) noodles. Cook according to package instructions, drain

  • 1 tablespoon cooking oil

  • 2 tablespoon butter

  • 6 minced garlic cloves

  • red pepper flakes

  • 1 tablespoon green onion + sliced green onion for garnish

  • For the Sauce:
  • 2 tablespoon oyster sauce

  • 2 tablespoon mirin

  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon dark soy sauce

  • 1 tablespoon sesame oil

  • 1 teaspoon fish sauce (optional)

  • Szechuan chili oil (optional)

Directions

  • Start by making the sauce. Combine the oyster sauce, mirin, soy sauce, sesame oil, dark soy sauce, and fish sauce in a small bowl or glass measuring cup, and stir until combined.
  • Heat oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Add minced garlic cloves, red pepper flakes, and 1 tablespoon green onion. Stir well. Enter the noodles that have been cooked before. Stir until the spices are absorbed. Add the sauce mixture. Cook until the sauce is soaked in the noodles completely. Add the sliced green onion. Transfer to a serving plate and add Szechuan chili oil if desired. Enjoy it.
